At Sheppard's Care we are regularly asked to assist people returning home after a recent stay in hospital, particularly following hip and knee surgery, helping to settle back into familiar surroundings. We can provide support with daily activities that many find difficult and challenging in the first few weeks, resulting in a quicker and safer recovery.
Our hospital discharge support service is usually planned prior to your hospital admission, ensuring that the right level of support is in place and ready to commence from the moment you leave hospital. We offer a range of services including transporting you home following discharge, overnight support or perhaps accompanying you to follow up appointments.
We can also assist you with practical help with everyday tasks such as light house work, laundry, ironing, preparing and cooking meals, running errands and shopping. These services are included and offered to all our clients as part of our hospital discharge services.
